Philadelphia police report that a woman was struck and killed by an ambulance in Kensington late Thursday night. The Philadelphia Fire Department medic unit was responding to an emergency at 11:52 p.m. on the 600 block of East Allegheny Avenue when it turned onto the 3100 block of F Street and struck a pedestrian. The woman was pronounced dead at 12:01 a.m. Authorities are investigating the incident and have not released her identity.
