The owner of a gas station became trapped underground after a gas station explosion in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Around 4:50 pm, on Tuesday afternoon, the incident occurred when an underground gas tank exploded while the owner and an employee were cleaning the vaults surrounding the tank. An employee sustained serious burn injuries and was flown to the hospital. A rescue effort to retrieve the owner continued throughout the night and into Wednesday morning, but it is feared that he may have succumbed to fatal injuries during the gas station explosion.
