Traffic laws protect pedestrians, and enable them to travel on city streets. Unfortunately, many motorists are unaware of those laws, and may fail to use caution when driving around them, which may lead to serious injuries and potential fatalities. In some cases, distracted driving, speeding, reckless driving, and texting when driving may cause them to be oblivious to the presence of pedestrians.
