Tow Truck Crash Injures One on I-95 in Delaware County

On I-95 North, a tow truck crash involving two other vehicles injured one individual. The accident occurred near Tinicum Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania on Sunday morning around 1:45 am. Due to a flat tire, the driver of a car stopped by the side of the road called a tow truck for assistance. After the call was made, another driver lost control and rear-ended the tow truck. It took 20 minutes to extricate the driver from underneath the tow truck. The driver, who sustained personal injuries, was taken to the Crozer Chester Medical Center for treatment. Both the tow truck driver and stranded driver sustained no injuries.

During late night hours, visibility on the road may be limited for drivers and could lead to accidents with other vehicles. Drowsy driving is another factor in late night motor vehicle accidents. When a smaller vehicle hits a large vehicle like a tow truck, the impact may be much more severe, and drivers and passengers may be at-risk for personal injuries or fatalities.
