Man Takes Fatal Fall at Power Plant

On Tuesday morning, a man took a fatal fall at a power plant. The man, who was not an employee but a contractor, fell from the roof at the plant in Dagsboro, Delaware, around 8:11 am. The Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation, and the man’s name has not been released.

Whether it is an employee or temporary worker, an injury or fatality at a workplace is serious. If the workplace failed to uphold safety standards or maintain an orderly space for employees, the business could be held liable for any injuries that happen on the premises. OSHA’s most commonly cited safety violation is inadequately protecting workers from falls.
