On Wednesday afternoon, an elderly woman was attacked by two dogs in the East Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. When the police found the 96-year-old woman, she was unconscious and sustained bite injuries to her face, head, and arms. The police brought her to the Einstein Medical Center, and there is no word as to the status of the two pit bulls who mauled her.
Unruly dogs left untethered and without supervision end up roaming the streets, posing a risk to those outside. Unsupervised dogs may attack an unsuspecting person, which could lead to serious injuries and, in extreme cases, fatalities.
