A hit-and-run accident in New Castle County, Delaware, injured a 12-year old boy. On Monday, December 5, a vehicle struck the boy while he was crossing Memorial Drive in the Overview Gardens community. Police were summoned to the accident and are conducting an investigation about the identity of the driver. Officials identified the car as a dark-colored sedan, possibly a blue or black Chrysler 300, between the model years 2004-2010. The driver side mirror was missing, but the passenger side mirror is described featuring yellow-tinted glass with chrome backing, and the words “Auto Dim” inscribed on it.
Police discovered the boy on Memorial Drive and arranged for him to be transported to the nearest hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. He remains hospitalized for multiple broken bones but is in stable condition after the hit-and-run accident.
