Nearly 90,000 vehicles from the 2016 line of Fiat Chrysler cars and SUVs will be recalled. The worldwide recall covers fuel leak issues and windshield wiper problems with three different models of cars.
Around 35,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs contain a defective fuel tube which may have been damaged during manufacturing as discovered by one of Fiat Chrysler’s employees. The damage causes gas leaks which can leads to fires. So far, no fires or injuries have been reported.
In a less serious yet necessary recall, 54,000 2016 Dodge Dart cars were affected by faulty windshield wipers. The windshield wipers fail to operate when electrical voltage spikes, caused by the windshield washer pump, short circuit.
